Quick answers before you start

What should a St Kitts and Nevis citizenship enquiry cover?

Identify the proposed investment route, family members and funding history. Plan the document, interview and biometric work around the current programme requirements and verify the authorised professional responsible for formal submission.

How should I compare a citizenship proposal with the programme route?

Separate preparation support from the programme's formal submission role and government decision. Identify the responsible authorised professional, included family applications, document work and payment stages before considering the proposal complete.

Services / The essentials

Plan the route and the complete citizenship process

Saint Kitts and Nevis publishes a citizenship programme with several contribution and investment options. Selecting a route requires more than comparing headline amounts: family composition, the origin of funds, document readiness and the terms of any property transaction all affect the practical decision. Begin with an accurate personal brief and a current assessment by an authorised agent.

Firswood Consultancy, trading as CompanyFormation.ae, directly manages St Kitts and Nevis citizenship preparation and coordination. We organise the applicant brief, document work and application handover. Formal representation and submission must follow the official programme channel; the engagement should identify the responsible programme-authorised professional, their current status, fees and duties. Government assessment determines the outcome.

Prepare with a clear checklist

Preparing the Saint Kitts and Nevis application file

Use the authorised agent’s current checklist to identify records for each applicant. Where copies or translations are requested, agree the certification requirements before commissioning them.

2 preparation items

Personal and family records

Gather valid identification and records establishing names and family relationships. Flag previous names, other nationalities and any inconsistent spelling for review.
Prepare a complete address and personal-history record so the agent can identify the police clearances and other background evidence required for your circumstances.

Funding and route selection

Organise the underlying business, employment, investment or sale records supporting the proposed funds. Bank statements should connect the explanation with available money.
Use the forms and route-specific documents supplied by the authorised agent. Obtain advice on property agreements before assuming a reservation satisfies programme requirements.

The receiving authority or appointed professional confirms the final checklist.

A closer look

St Kitts investment routes, family inclusion and funding

A current assessment must cover programme conditions and the identity checks needed to complete the application.

01

SISC, public-benefit and property routes

The Citizenship Unit lists the Sustainable Island State Contribution, approved developer real estate, a private real-estate route and approved public-benefit projects. Each has its own conditions. A contribution and a property purchase have different economic characteristics, so compare the full commitment, required retention and any continuing costs. Official approval of a route should not be treated as a guarantee of investment performance.

02

Family eligibility and identity checks

List each intended applicant’s relationship, age and relevant dependency information for the authorised agent. Eligibility and interview requirements need an individual assessment. Include biometric enrolment in the completion plan: it is mandatory for new programme applications submitted from 14 April 2026, with booking after approval in principle. Keep this distinct from Antigua and Barbuda’s presence condition; programme obligations are not interchangeable. Source: St Kitts and Nevis CIU: biometric enrolment.

03

Evidence of the source and transfer of funds

Prepare a coherent account of how the proposed contribution or investment was funded. Salary, business distributions, asset sales and gifts call for different supporting records. Reconcile that explanation with the account from which payment will be made. Where a permitted sponsor is involved, identify the relationship and supporting evidence early rather than introducing an unexplained third-party payment late in the application.

The work, step by step

From initial assessment to citizenship decision

The formal programme process runs through the authorised agent and the Citizenship Unit.

  1. 01

    Confirm the authorised professional

Check the official list and agree the agent’s engagement. Establish who will assess eligibility, explain the chosen route and communicate with the authority.

  2. 02

Prepare the family and funding brief

Disclose the relevant history and assemble the records requested. Resolve missing documents and differences between forms before submission.

  3. 03

    Submit the reviewed application

The authorised agent lodges the file and manages authority correspondence. Preserve the submitted version and evidence of official fees paid.

  4. 04

    Respond to due diligence

The main applicant must attend an interview. The CIU may also require interviews for dependants aged 16 or over. Respond to due-diligence questions through the authorised agent; the authority determines the outcome.

  5. 05

    Complete approved conditions and handover

After approval in principle, follow the official payment instructions and arrange mandatory biometric enrolment through the government platform. New applications submitted from 14 April 2026 include this requirement. Keep the citizenship certificate and passport stages distinct.

Cost components and what each covers
Cost componentWhat to account for
Qualifying contribution or investmentThe official route determines the principal commitment. Distinguish a contribution from a property purchase, whose resale value and exit remain uncertain, and assess commercial terms independently.
Due diligence and government chargesFees can depend on the people included and the application stage. The agent should identify which amounts are non-refundable.
Authorised-agent and specialist feesAgree representation, legal advice and administrative coordination separately, including how further information requests are handled.
Document and completion expensesAllow for required document preparation, bank charges, biometric enrolment and passport-related steps. Confirm the government platform’s current biometric charges and the appointment location before budgeting for travel.

Request a written scope and current third-party charges before committing.

Know what happens when

Preparation, assessment and completion

A workable schedule includes preparation and financial completion as well as the authority’s review period.

Before formal submission

Readiness

Overseas civil records, background checks and a complex funding history can determine how quickly a complete file is assembled.

Citizenship Unit review

Assessment

The authority controls due diligence and may request more information. Avoid travel or contractual commitments that assume a fixed outcome date.

After official approval instruction

Completion

Investment conditions, payment verification and citizenship documentation must be completed in the required sequence.

Looking ahead

After the programme decision

Maintain the records needed for citizenship documentation, investment conditions and future personal administration.

Keep the final application record

Retain approval correspondence, proof of payments and issued citizenship documents. Record the agent responsible for any follow-up.

Track ongoing route conditions

For a property route, understand the applicable holding and disposal conditions before a sale or transfer is considered.

Review travel and personal records

The CIU currently sets 31 July 2027 as the biometric enrolment deadline for existing programme citizens and the end of the travel-validity transition for programme passports issued before 14 April 2026. Confirm the applicable instructions through the official platform and authorised agent, and check destination entry rules before travel.

St Kitts and Nevis citizenship questions

Need to discuss your own circumstances?

Can I apply directly to the Citizenship Unit?

The official programme requires submission through an authorised agent. Verify the responsible professional against the published list before engaging them.

Who handles the service and formal programme submission?

Firswood Consultancy directly manages the preparation and coordination service. Formal submission follows St Kitts and Nevis’s required channel, with the responsible programme-authorised professional and current authorisation identified in the engagement. Direct service delivery is not a government approval or a citizenship guarantee.

Can relatives be included?

Potential family inclusion must be assessed against the current dependant rules. Provide the agent with the complete family details before requesting a quotation.

Is buying any property sufficient?

No. Property routes have programme-specific approval and transaction conditions. Check the exact property and proposed interest before paying a reservation.

Can approval or a processing date be guaranteed?

No. The authority makes the decision after its assessment, and additional information can affect the schedule.

Does citizenship automatically change my UAE residence or tax position?

Citizenship does not automatically create or amend UAE residence or settle tax obligations. A UAE residence application requires its own assessment, and tax questions depend on the relevant jurisdictions and personal circumstances.
